Any phone: dial *#06#. If you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM.
iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for “EID”. Also check Carrier Lock says “No SIM restrictions”.
Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → look for “Add eSIM”.
Google Pixel: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → “Add more”.

Important: phones bought on installment plans from some carriers are locked until fully paid. A locked phone cannot use a travel eSIM — check with your carrier. iPhones bought in mainland China (and some from Hong Kong/Macau) do not support eSIM.
